This Antique Weave Oushak rug with its understated elegance, is greatly influenced by original antique Turkish Oushaks. This reproduction is hand-knotted by master weavers capturing the look and spirit of the original Oushaks. Artfully made from hand-spun New Zealand wool, the rug allows a texture that is soft and luxurious. These rugs set a standard of excellence that will outlast the whims of fashion and without a doubt become tomorrow's antiques! Oushak rug pays homage to the traditional rug-making techniques of old-world Indian craftsmanship. Hand-knotted of New Zealand wool by master weavers. Hand washed, sun-dried, and hand trimmed. A special heirloom wash produces the subtle color variations that give Oushak rugs their distinctive antique look; therefore, each will differ slightly from the one shown here. No backing.  Size is approximate. Imported. Please note: Rugs (especially wool rugs) are prone to a natural shedding process. With regular vacuuming, the shedding will decrease over time. Hand-knotted rugs tend to shed less than hand-tufted rugs, and flatweave rugs will shed less than those with a deeper pile, but all rugs will shed more in high-traffic areas than they do in lower-traffic spaces.Unfortunately, we cannot provide rug swatches at this time.
