The Patera pendant was designed by Øivind Slaatto, who based it on the mathematics of the Fibonacci sequence. The poetic 360degree glow of the Patera is derived from its many small diamondshaped cells, which are assembled by hand. Each cell is meticulously designed to reflect light and delicately vary the appearance of the pendant from every angle. This spherical pendant emits a glarefree glow of light, which is reflected by the small diamondshaped cells that comprise the fixture. The lamp's structure ensures that the light is glarefree from above 45 degrees while also allowing the fixture to emit a downwardly directed light as well as an upward radiance, illuminating the ceiling to lend further ambiance to its surroundings. Each cell shapes the light by creating soft transitions between direct and reflected light to emphasize the pendant's remarkably radiant sphere.
